I have been looking for a well-made woman's Oxford black leather shoe for some time - basically a good men's dress shoe redesigned for a woman's foot. I ordered this pair from Amazon and the shoes were well-made - very solid feeling, with real leather, real brass tacks, etc. Unfortunately they didn't fit my feet, so I had to return them. They were too tight across the ball of my feet and too loose on the heels. I have high arched feet with narrow heels and it's difficult for me to find shoes that fit. I would recommend these shoes to women who have regular feet who don't generally have trouble finding shoes. These would be particularly appropriate for women who need plain, black Oxfords for uniforms, such as those in the military, and others who need supportive, sturdy shoes.
