This is a Euro style clog that is meant to be loose in the back, not fitted. The shoes do not run big; buy your usual size but be ready to have the shoe fit like a clog with an open back. I stress this because I read reviews of this style where people said they returned the shoes for a smaller size and then found that the shoe rubbed against the back of their foot. The shoe is very comfortable and looks great. I can stand all day long in these shoes and walk in a natural fashion but I don't think I would want to walk long distances. To go for a long walk, I would wear walking shoes or sneakers but for walking around at work or standing for long periods, these are great. Good for hair stylists, nurses, waitresses, teachers or anyone that works in retail and stands and walks on a hard floor for long hours.
