I've been wearing ladies' "low quarter" shoes for 22+ years now at work, and I've gone through many different styles and brands. I decided on these particular Durashocks because I wanted a pair I could actually spit shine, versus having to go with the pre-shined/easily scratched Coroframs. I have had nothing but trouble with my last 3 or 4 pairs of LQs Coroframs -- never broke in right, constantly eating the back of my foot, etc. I absolutely LOVE these shoes!!! I wore them for 4 hours at the end of the day to break them in and it was like walking on air, with no insidious rubbing at the back of my foot. They are a very high grade parade-quality leather that looked spit shined out of the box and I haven't even touched them with polish yet. Yes, these are a little pricey but definitely worth it.
